KALO IQ search filters: a guide to every option
KALO IQ has 12 search filters covering platform, creator attributes and audience data. Most users use 4-5 on every search. Here is what every filter does and when each one matters.
Platform and content type filters
Platform: Filter by Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or X (Twitter). You can select multiple platforms in one search. Most campaigns filter to a single platform to compare creators on equal terms.
Content type: On Instagram, filter by creators who primarily post Reels, Feed posts or Stories. On YouTube, filter by long-form or Shorts creators. This matters because a creator who primarily posts Reels has a different audience relationship than one who primarily posts static Feed content.
Creator attribute filters
Follower range: Set minimum and maximum follower count. Standard tiers: Nano (1K-10K), Micro (10K-100K), Macro (100K-1M), Mega (1M+). For most US DTC campaigns, 10K-100K produces the best CPE results.
Engagement rate: Set a minimum engagement rate. Recommended minimums: Instagram 3.5%, TikTok 5%, YouTube 2%. Below these thresholds, audience attentiveness has typically declined to a point where CPE becomes inefficient.
Niche and category: 47 niche categories ranging from Beauty and Skincare to Finance and Gaming. Select up to 3 niches in one search. Narrower niche filters produce smaller but more relevant result sets.
Post frequency: Filter by creators who post at least weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. For campaign timeline planning this ensures your creators will post during your active campaign window.

Audience filters -- the most important ones
US audience percentage: The most important filter for any US brand. This filters by the percentage of a creator's audience that is based in the United States -- not the creator's own location. Set to 60% minimum for US campaigns. 70%+ for campaigns targeting US buyers specifically.
Audience age range: Filter by the dominant age bracket of the creator's audience. Useful for brands targeting specific generational demographics.
Audience gender split: Filter by female-majority, male-majority or balanced audience. Set this to match your buyer persona not the creator's own gender.
Quality and history filters
Fake follower score: Filter out creators above a fake follower threshold. KALO IQ's verification team flags creators with suspicious audience quality. Setting this filter above 0 removes the most obviously compromised profiles from results.
Brand partnership history: Filter by creators who have or have not posted sponsored content recently. Some campaigns prefer creators with limited recent sponsorship -- their audience has not developed banner blindness to sponsored posts.
Contact available: Filter to only show creators whose outreach email is available in the KALO IQ database. This saves time on profiles you cannot reach through the platform.
