Refund Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Template for legal review. This states a no-refund default and the limited exceptions we choose to honour, alongside the statutory refund rights that UK and EU consumers keep by law and that this policy cannot remove. Confirm with your lawyer before publishing, in particular the UK/EU 14-day withdrawal wording and how it interacts with the free trial and immediate-access consent.
This Refund Policy explains when KALO IQ does and does not issue refunds. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. Those terms state that fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, and this policy sets out how that works in practice. If anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service govern.
The platform is operated by KALO IQ, registered internationally and reachable at 9100 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 333, Beverly Hills, CA 90212, United States. References to "KALO IQ", "we", "us" or "our" mean the KALO IQ business.
Our position: no refunds by default
KALO IQ is a self-serve software subscription. Fees you have paid are non-refundable, and we do not give refunds for partial billing periods, unused time, unused email unlocks, forgotten cancellations, change of mind, or because a plan was used less than expected. This applies to monthly and annual plans and to every plan tier, from Starter through Agency and custom plans.
We hold this position for a simple reason: you can evaluate the full platform before you ever pay. Every account starts with a 7-day free trial of the complete product, with no credit card required. Paid plans then bill in advance and renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account settings. When you cancel, your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Because the trial lets you confirm the product fits before spending anything, and because cancelling is immediate and self-serve, we do not refund fees once a period has been charged.
How to avoid being charged for time you do not want
The reliable way to control cost is to cancel before your next renewal rather than to seek a refund afterwards. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, so you keep access you have already paid for and are not billed again. We show your renewal date in your account settings and, where required, we tell you in advance of any price change. If you are unsure whether a plan suits you, use the free trial or contact us before you upgrade.
Limited exceptions we will consider
In narrow circumstances we may, at our discretion, issue a full or partial refund or account credit. These are exceptions, not entitlements, and we decide each case on its facts:
- Duplicate or incorrect charge. You were billed twice for the same period, charged after a valid cancellation took effect, or charged an amount that does not match the plan you selected.
- Failed access we could not resolve. A confirmed fault on our side prevented you from using the core platform for a sustained period during your paid term, you reported it to us promptly, and we were unable to fix it or provide a reasonable workaround.
- Billing immediately after an annual renewal. If an annual plan renewed automatically and you contact us within 14 days of that renewal, having made no meaningful use of the new term, we may refund it as a goodwill exception.
- Where the law requires it. Nothing in this policy removes a refund or cancellation right that consumer law gives you. See the next section.
Exceptions do not cover dissatisfaction with results, the number of creators or matches you found, third-party outcomes such as how creators responded to your outreach, or usage that simply fell below what you expected. Refund requests based on these will normally be declined.
Your statutory rights (UK and EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have legal rights that this policy cannot take away. In particular, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Where you ask us to begin providing the service immediately, before that 14-day period ends, you may be asked to acknowledge that starting the service can reduce or end your withdrawal right, and if you then withdraw you may owe a proportionate amount for what you used. You also keep your rights if the service is not as described or not provided with reasonable care and skill. These statutory rights sit above everything else in this policy. Most business customers on paid plans are not consumers and these consumer rights will not apply to them.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Tell us your account email, the charge date and amount, and which situation above applies. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within a few business days and to decide them within a reasonable period after we have the information we need. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first. Opening a chargeback with your bank before giving us a chance to resolve it may lead to your account being suspended while the dispute is handled. We keep records of trials, usage and cancellations and will provide them to your payment provider where a dispute is raised.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in force when you were charged is the version that applies to that charge. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notified to you.
Questions about a charge or a refund should go to [email protected].
