Campaign brief generator

A brief that only lists deliverables gets you content you did not want. This one writes the two sections brands usually leave out — what good looks like and what to avoid — and it writes them differently for each goal and each platform. Fill in nine fields, copy the finished document, send it.

Your brief

The brief is plain text, so it pastes cleanly into a document, an email or Notion without picking up stray formatting. The only figure in it is the fee you entered.

FAQ

Campaign brief FAQ

Yes, and that is the point of the two sections most briefs skip. Sections 5 and 6 are written for the goal and the platform you picked, so a conversion brief for TikTok tells a creator to name the price in the audio and to keep the product in frame, while an awareness brief for YouTube tells them the segment has to belong to the video. You will want to add your contact details and anything specific to your product, but the structure and the craft guidance are finished.
No. The only number in the document is the fee you typed, and section 7 says so inside the brief itself. We publish measured engagement benchmarks elsewhere on this site, with sample sizes, but a brief is not the place for them: a creator reading a brief needs to know what to make, not what the median Instagram account engages at.
Because you are going to change it. Plain text pastes into a document, an email or Notion without dragging formatting with it, and it works the same on a phone. A PDF would look more finished and be harder to edit, which is the wrong trade for a document that needs your contact details and your product specifics added before it goes out.
Section 4 spells each one out in the brief. Organic only means you may not run the content as paid media at all. Thirty or ninety days means you may, on the platform it was made for, for that window. Perpetual means it can run after the campaign, in markets the creator has not seen, without coming back to them, which is why it should be priced well above the others rather than slipped in as a default.
The brief states that two rounds of feedback are included and that a third moves the live date rather than compressing the edit. That sentence is there deliberately: most late deliveries are caused by a third round of notes against an unchanged live date, and saying so up front is easier than renegotiating later.
