Do giveaways actually grow your account or do you just lose all the followers after? How do I run one that works?

Giveaways cut both ways. The right prize grows you, the wrong one fills you with freebie hunters who unfollow the second it ends. Pick a prize only your ideal follower would want, keep entry simple like follow plus tag a friend, and partner with a complementary creator or brand to double your reach. Expect some drop-off after, that is normal. Judge it on followers who stay and engage, not the spike on the day.

Giveaways cut both ways

The right prize grows you. The wrong one fills you with people who leave.

Make the prize niche-specific

A prize only your ideal follower wants filters out the freebie hunters.

Keep entry simple

Follow and tag a friend. Complicated rules kill your entry numbers.

Partner to double reach

Team with a complementary creator or brand and share each others audience.

My first giveaway prize was a generic gift card and I lost half those followers in a week. Niche prize the second time, totally different.

Partnering is the cheat code. A joint giveaway with a creator in my niche put me in front of exactly the right new audience.

Do not panic at the post-giveaway dip. Some leaving is normal. Look at who stays and engages a month later instead.
