A brand asked my rate for a UGC video. I have no idea what to charge. What is normal?

Most new UGC creators charge somewhere around 150 to 300 dollars per video, then raise rates as their work and demand grow. Price the base video, then add line items for usage rights, extra edits, hooks and exclusivity. Do not lump it all into one cheap number. Quote a range, ask what they need, then give a firm price.

How to price a UGC video

Price the base, then add for everything beyond it.

Start from a base rate

Around 150 to 300 is a common starting anchor.

Add line items

Usage, extra hooks and edits are separate charges.

Quote after you know the scope

Give a range first, a firm price once you know the brief.

Quote a range first, then price once you know usage and edits. Giving one number blind is how you underprice.

Charge for extra hooks. Brands love asking for three versions, that is more work and should cost more.

Raised my base from 150 to 350 over a year just by having a tighter reel and testimonials.
