40% Audience Overlap in Top US DTC Creator Pools: Q3 2025 Research

KALO IQ today released its Q3 2025 US Creator Saturation Report, finding that top creator pools in saturated DTC categories now share more than 40% audience overlap. The research analyzed audience composition across 18,400 verified US creators.

Headline finding

In categories like beauty, fitness plus supplements, the top 50 creators by paid-deal volume now share 42% audience overlap on average. A brand running campaigns with 5 of the top 50 will reach a substantially overlapping audience pool, diminishing incremental impressions per dollar.

Why saturation matters

Audience overlap reduces incremental reach. A brand paying for 5 partnerships that share 42% of their audience effectively buys only 2.9 unique audiences worth of impressions, not 5. Many brands measure gross impressions without de-duplicating for overlap.

What brands can do

The report's recommendation: rotate mid-tier creators (10K to 100K followers) into the mix. Mid-tier US creators show audience overlap of only 8 to 14% on average, giving brands more unique reach per dollar than concentrating on top creators.
