Setting up outreach sequences

Updated June 3, 2026 · By Sophia Miller

Most replies come from the follow-up, not the first message. A sequence sends polite follow-ups automatically and stops the moment someone replies. Here is how to build one.

Build the sequence

  1. From a list, click Start outreach, then Use a sequence.
  2. Write the first message and one or two follow-ups.
  3. Set the gap between steps, for example 3 days then 5 days.
  4. Turn it on. KALO IQ sends each step on schedule.

Follow-ups stop on reply

The moment a creator replies, the sequence stops for that person automatically. Nobody gets a follow-up after they have already answered, so you never look careless. This is the whole point of a sequence over manual sending.

Timing that works

Two follow-ups is the sweet spot. Space them a few days apart and keep them short: a one-line nudge that adds a small new detail beats resending the same pitch. Three total touches over about ten days captures most of the replies you are going to get.

Frequently asked questions
